CUSTOM Haying and FARMING

As small-scale cattle farmers, we recognize the challenges hay season can bring for small and mid-size farms with valuable forage in the field. 

As custom hayers, our goal is to prioritize those small and mid size farms - during those times in the season when getting a high quality crop of forage off the field is critical to your operation, and vital for the health of your soil. While we are fully capable of haying 100+ acre fields, our priorities lay with the 5 to 50 acre parcels. Availability is also given to smaller fields where proximity to our current operations allow for travel costs to be mitigated.

Seeding, pasture recovery, and pasture management are also services we provide. Our focus is in regenerative farming practices, and soil health is at the forefront of our operational model. We prefer to minimize or eliminate tillage, keep the soil covered and protected, and keep roots in the ground at every possible opportunity.

Below is a list of the services we are able to provide:

• Custom hay cutting, baling, and wrapping - small square and large round
• No-till drill seeding, including cover crops
• Soil compaction recovery using a subsoiler
• Termination of cover crops using a crimper roller
• Light pasture harrowing
• Power harrow seeding - for when tilling cannot be avoided, soil disturbance can be limited by tilling, prepping and seeding altogether in one pass
• Fertilization - several options available

We are available for contracted custom farming services, share crop arrangements, and are actively looking for short and long term leases.
